busy days

Been busy around here! Alex has been with us since Saturday and Kami and Elizabeth came late yesterday afternoon.
Saturday Alex and I helped Grandpa change the pins at the golf course -Alex played a couple of par 3's and we checked out the humongous frogs at the pond on #11! When we finished at the golf course we went to Bryan to the Jubilee - Alex rode a ride, we had sno-cones and cotton candy and watched the Laser Light Show. Alex couldn't believe it was MIDNIGHT when he went to bed!
Sunday Alex and I went to Catherine's pool for about an hour then headed to the Y for a graduation party.
Yesterday morning we went to school, the bank, the post office, DCTV Station, a friend's house then to McDonald's for lunch. Stopped at Chief and brought home a Sprinkling Beach Ball and played with that all afternoon - it was so hot and that water felt so good.
When Kami and Elizabeth got here we went to Catherine's to swim and have a picnic while Danny was at Golf league.
Today we went to Grandma Darr's. Took lunch with us and went to the Dairy Treat for a lemon ice cream cone, of course! When we got home Alex, Grandpa and I took a historic tour of Defiance. We started at the Fort Grounds - Alex's favorite thing was climbing on the canons, next we went to Pontiac Park where Chief Pontiac was born and we saw the stump of a tree that Johnny Appleseed planted, then we checked out the dried up canal lock downtown and had a lesson on how canal locks worked - that was hard to understand until we got home and found an animation on the Internet. Had grilled pizza for supper then walked around the block two times so Elizabeth could run through the mud puddles!
Tomorrow Kami and Alex will go back to Mt. Vernon and Elizabeth will stay here. We will take her to Reid's with us on Friday and Kami's will come over to get her. A fun week!
