perfection

IF there is such a thing as the perfect Christmas - this would have to be it in my book! It has been so much fun having everyone together these past couple of weeks. And I loved, loved, loved having all the kids at home for Christmas! perfection.

just waiting

Even though I am off this week - it was still nice to know there was no school today. I know all the teachers appreciate the extra time to get ready for the holidays.
So, we are just sitting hear anxiously waiting to hear from Todd's whether they will be coming to Ohio! He should be seeing the doctor soon, then we will know whether to go with Plan A or Plan B! :-)
Hey! Made my first JF purchase today - so excited!!!

ahh....the ice!

We have had a lot of ice here since yesterday morning - so no school today! We didn't have school last Wednesday because of snow - I could get used to these 4 day work weeks!
At least Kami's got here Friday night so we could finally celebrate Alex's birthday. I think he liked his rocket cake - and if you use your imagination it actually looks like a rocket! They left Sunday morning and had ice until Marion, but made it home safe and sound.
Today was kind of a lazy day. Finished decorating yesterday, so had time to play on the computer today - which I haven't done for awhile! Worked on a Christmas webpage and now I'm getting ready to write a little Christmas letter for those without computers.
Still seems funny not being in California. It was nice spending so much time with Todd, Ann and the girls.

when thank you seems inadequate

Thank you seems so inadequate when telling people what their support and prayers have meant to us the past three weeks. We have been blessed in so many ways - from our supportive friends and family, to Todd's recovery and with the arrival of Rylan Grace!
So, as inadequate as it seems this "Thank you" comes straight from my heart!

christmas for kids

Got in the Christmas Spirit today - took some kids to Beaner's to collect toys and money for Mix 98.1's Christmas For Kids. It was cold and even snowed for a little bit - so really put us in the mood! We collected almost $2000!!! and a big bin full of toys!

It finally happened - most of the chickens have flown the coop! They are boxed up and stored in the garage!

simple sunday

Sitting here listening to the new Neil Sedaka album I just downloaded and checking out the California blog!

Woke up at - are you ready for this - 9:00 a.m.!!!! I cannot remember when I have slept that late. It felt SO good! Now it is almost 11:30 and I still haven't done a thing! Will start laundry pretty soon and I think that will be the big chore for the day!

Fred administered an ACT test yesterday morning and I read questions for the Quiz Team Invitational. Had some good helpers in my room, so it went smoothly. Had to read 7 rounds of 40 questions with a 40 minute break between rounds 4/5 - so it was a long tournament!

Went to Edon when I got home at 2:00. Grandma had called Thursday night and said her computer popped and went off. So, I got her a computer from school that we are selling for $25! When I pulled the plug on her old one it was all burnt! Lucky she didn't have a fire! So, now she has email access again. A little different OS - but I'm sure she will get used to it after a while.

I know, I just got up, but since the clock says 11:30 I think I need to eat lunch!
