so I lied!

Okay - I said no more buying - I lied! Decided I didn't like the blouse I got Thursday night so took it back today. In its place I got two tops at EB for just a few cents more. So, that really doesn't count. But, then I went to Kohl's and got a pair of brown cords and I was going to say no more, but I won't!
On the way out to the mall I was wishing someone was here to go with me....would have been much more fun!

I caved!

Well, I did it - I caved in to temptation and bought something from Woot. :) Have been so tempted so many times but have used my will power - today I just couldn't do it. Bought the 6 Megapixel 3X optical zoom Polaroid camera. You know what you have is never good enough - you always want something better!
AND sidewalk sales at the mall yesterday and today. I went out with a friend last night and bought a blouse. Went back out tonight and bought a jacket and some jeans. I am done - no more the rest of the winter!
Rain, rain go away!!!!!!! If this had all been snow it would be to the roof top by now. It is supposed to start getting colder tomorrow and through the week and sleet/ice/snow.
Had pie at Bud's last night and pie at school this noon - so I'm headed for the treadmill.

almost mid-week

Ahhh...tomorrow is Wednesday! Can sleep in a little bit. I like that in the middle of the week. Had DCTV Class tonight. Out of the 11 that were to come with a script ready to type 4 of them were prepared. It is just getting to be too much of a hassle and it is time to try something different, I think.
Fred had a nice birthday. He liked his meal and the peace and quiet he had most of the day and evening. :) Kami and Todd called - we figured Reid was off to a big party to watch OSU. That turned out to be a bust, didn't it?
I am going to a conference in Columbus February 12-14. Jill and I are giving a presentation on Monday Morning and having a Teacher Table on Wednesday. We thought we would go to sessions Monday afternoon and Tuesday, but we have been asked to work in the Renaissance Place booth on both days. So, we are going to do that. They will pay us so we could hardly pass it up! We're excited about it. Now we can go somewhere REALLY good to eat! :)
It is finally feeling like winter! Right now it is 29 degrees. Brrrr...but it is winter so I don't mind!
Okay - going back and use the treadmill. Trying to walk off that candy bar I just had!

weekend - end

The weekend is pretty much over. It was a nice weekend. Did laundry and went to the college game on Saturday. Today we went to Edon. Fred stayed and watched ballgames and did his Sudokus while I took mom to Bryan. Went to K-Mart and Rite-Aid, her usual stops! Oh, and it snowed a little bit on our way back to Edon!
Had a great email when we got home - Dan Pflug got the job as associate pastor at the Rothbury Community Church in Michigan. Amy and Dan have had a very trying year - with no job and Maddie's cancer. But now Dan has a job and Maddie is feeling better and is taking monthly treatments, so it seems they are being rewarded for their patience and faith. I'm so happy for them!
Tomorrow is Fred's birthday - he will be officially retired tomorrow! :) He is so proud!!! I have a meeting after school and another at 5:30, so I won't get home until 7:00-ish. Today I made him potato salad and his favorite dessert - Lemon Angel Roll. Tomorrow morning before I leave I will put a pork roast in the crock for pulled pork sandwiches. So, I won't feel too guilty. He will have what he wants most - peace and quiet and good food!

It's Friday!

It was a nice short week! I could definitely go for the 4-day school week! The Pie Club had lunch together today - we laughed so hard! So nice to have such good friends at work!

Haircut Saga, continued

Well, I had an appointment with my regular hairdresser today. Not soon enough for me! Actually, one person at school today said, "Did you get your hair cut?" and 15 minutes later someone said to me, "This is the first time I have ever looked at you and thought you needed a hair cut!" that is how kooky it was! I called Gayle a couple hours before my appointment to warn her ahead of time. I told her she wasn't allowed to laugh at me, but she did. Told me I had an old lady haircut! She asked what I wanted to do and I told her I really didn't care - whatever she wanted to do. But as short as it was in spots I was fine if she wanted to go spike-y so it would be about the same all over. That is the route she went. So, now I am very, very short all over as opposed to here and there. I feel a little more like Carol again. I get it cut two more times before heading to California - who knows what it will be like by then! My hair grows really fast, so I don't really mind it being so short right now. What a dilemma!

final day of break

Yep, tomorrow it is back to the norm - alarm going off at 6:45! (Oy, that is going to be REALLY hard!) Fred is going in all three days this week and he has two ballgames tomorrow night.

We've had a great break, but it will be nice to get back into a routine!
